(Hornchurch opening batsmen Rashidi Boucher takes the acclaim after his brilliant 122 against Colchester & East Essex, thanks to @HCCOfficial for the photo)

Here is what happened in the weekend's Saturday 1st XI match up's across the four divisions:-

Premier Division
Brentwood 139/2 (19 overs)
Buckhurst Hill 135 (45.2 overs)
Brentwood won by 8 wickets
Ian Belchamber claimed figures of 3-35 as he helped his side dismiss Buckhurst Hill for just 135 and they made light work of chasing this target down, reaching it in just 19 overs, thanks largely to Tom Oakley's 66 not out from just 56 balls.

Chelmsford 184 (46 overs)
Shenfield 185/7 (44.3 overs)
Shenfield won by 3 wickets
Arshad Ali (3-24) and Matthew Salisbury (3-45) helped restrict hosts Chelmsford to just 184 although it could of been a lot worse for the hosts had Karamat Ali not contributed 64 batting an number nine. However the visitors managed to reach their target with 5.3 overs to spare thanks to Ryan Plom's 85 not out with Chelmsford's Anthony Hill claming figures of 3-40.

Hornchurch 349/4 (50 overs)
Colchester and East Essex 257 (44.4 overs)
Hornchurch won by 92 runs
Hornchurch tore the visiting bowlers apart and were given a superb platform as openers Rashidi Boucher (122) and Michael Bones (103) put on a massive 218 for the opening wicket.  Paul Walter then chipped in with 55 from just 29 deliveries to help the hosts up to their huge total and then he then took 4-47 and colleague Thomas Moore 3-43 as they dismissed their opponents 92 runs adrift. Andrew Kennedy (80) and Tom Ullyott (52) both hit fifties but it was ultimately in vain.

Ilford 228/9 (50 overs)
South Woodford 245/5 (50 overs)
South Woodford won by 17 runs
James Swash (84) and Peter Lazarus (60) shared a third wicket stand of 90 as they helped set Ilford 246 to win.  Abid Ali (70) and Mohammad Ahktar (52) then shared a third wicket stand of 100 but Harry Shirt took 4-45 for the visitors as they managed to defend their total for a 17 run win.

Maruf Chowdhury (3-36) helped restrict the hosts to just 161/8 as they struggled with the bat.  The same cannot be said for the visitors though as they blitzed their way to the 162 target, reaching it in the 21st over, thanks to openers Mdaminul Isalm Shihan (69) and Raihan Hussain (53no) getting the innings off to a flier.  Robert Rayner did take 3-29 for the hosts but it was all in vain.

Hadleigh & Thundersley 149 (41 overs)
Upminster 110 (28.1 overs)
Hadleigh & Thundersley won by 39 runs
Connor Whetstone (3-17) and Matt Tigg (3-28) helped their side dismiss hosts Hadleigh for just 149, however this proved more than enough runs for the hosts as Anthony Grosvenor (4-15) and Sam Handley (4-29) then demolished the visitors batting line up, dismissing them for just 110 to claim a 39 run win.

Loughton 254/9 (50 overs)
Loughton won by 91 runs
Bilal Butt struck a magnificent 100 from just 67 balls as he helped his side post 254/9 and then saw his side bowl out the hosts for just 163 thanks to himself (3-30) and Tauseef Kazmi (3-33) doing the damage with the ball.

Southend-on-Sea & EMT 254/4 (48.2 overs)
Fives and Heronians 250/9 (50 overs)
Southend-on-Sea & EMT won by 6 wickets

Iqbal then took 3-35 but he and his team mates were powerless to prevent the hosts from chasing down their target with ten balls to spare, thanks to fifties from Phil Gray (71no) and Oliver Wagstaff (58).

Ardleigh Green 184 (30 overs)
Walthamstow 188/3 (34.5 overs)
Walthamstow won by 7 wickets
Hosts Ardleigh Green saw Paul Hurworth hit an unbeaten 97 but his fellow team mates went hard to early and were dismissed for 184 with twenty overs of their innings left.  Mark Goulding (4-42) and Saghir Rabbani (4-53) took advantage of this and then saw fifties from Richard Baughan (76no) and Paul Miller (68no) share an unbroken third wicket stand to take their side to victory with 15.1 overs to spare.

Basildon & Pitsea won by 1 wicket
Westcliff opening batsmen Charlie Lockhart carried his bat for 133 off 136 balls as his side posted 266/9, with visiting bowler Dan Bedford taking 3-61.  In reply fifties from Darren Thompson (89) and Liam Rouse (68) put their side in a good position but when Thompson fell with twenty still needed and one wicket left, the match was swinging the hosts way.  However the final pair managed to get the required runs and see the visitors over the line with one ball to spare in a thriller.  Robert Pinkerton (3-49) and Austin Holmes (3-52) did their best with the ball but it was all in vain.
